Compassion International is a fervent responder to the Great Commission and advocates for children in spiritual, educational, physical and economic poverty. This ministry has partnered with a church called Jehovah Shammah to launch a Child Development Center in the tiny village of Joya de Ceren, which was once a haven for gang members. Now this is a lovely place for our sponsored children to learn about God. We have had many teachers, pastors and wonderful volunteers visit and support the growth and stability of the center. The children can count on nutritious meals as well as education on personal health and growth, among just a few of the achievements accomplished at and through our partner church.
